This meet was held recently at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy under the patronage of Sarath Ekanayake, the Chief Minister of Central Province. The Director of Education, Kandy E P T K Ekanayake and the Provincial Director W M Wijeratne were present on the occasion.

The Champion Mahamaya Girls College Athletic team with Principal Indra Withanachchi (seated in the middle) Dilani Wijesekera (teacher-in-charge) and Athletic Captain Pavani Costa with the trophies they won.
