The annual 2015 Inter School Chess competitions of Horana Education Zone was held recently (June 6th and 7th) at Horana Sri Palee National School with the participation of Directot of Horana Zonal Education K.A. Chandrawathie, Assist. Director of Education (Sports) Malinda Padmasanka. with the assistance of Dr. Asoka Karunaratna.

More than 250 students from 75 schools in Horana, Bulathsinhala and Bandaragama Education Divisions participated the tournaments for several age levels. Horana Taxila Junior School emerged Junior Chess Champions
