				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dashing S Thomas’ winger Naveen Henakankanamge will captain the Sri Lanka Under 18 Sevens rugby team for the Asian Schools Rugby Sevens Championship which will be worked off in Hong Kong on July 23 (Saturday) and 24 (Sunday).</p>
<p>Isipathana College&#8217;s outstanding centre Sumudu Rankothge will be the vice captain.</p>
<p>After sevens selection trials a final 21 member squad was finalized by national selectors headed by chairman Michael Jayasekara.</p>
<p>The selected squad will start their training under the watchful eyes of head coach former Sri Lanka national and CR &#038; FC player cum ex CR assistant coach and present Access international assistant coach M.J.M.Mushtaq.</p>
<p>Selectors will choose and finalize the final 12 member touring squad on July 18 (Monday), while the team is expected to leave for Hong Kong on July 21 (Thursday).</p>
<p>The Sri Lanka team is drawn into group ‘B’ alongside Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Mongolia. </p>
