				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>West Indies Women won the three-match Twenty20 series by 2-1 with a crushing nine-wicket win over Sri Lanka Women in the third and final match at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo yesterday.</p>
<p>Chasing a modest 75-run target, openers Stafanie Taylor (38 off 35 balls) and Hayley Matthews batted for just 11 overs to reach the victory target with 8.4 balls to spare. Hayley Matthews, who demolished Sri Lanka Women middle order taking four wickets, scored an unbeaten 38 runs while in-form batswoman Stafanie Taylor got out in the first ball of the 11th over.</p>
<p>Sent into bat, Sri Lanka Women were restricted to 74 for 9 within 20 overs.</p>
<p>After losing two early wickets in successive deliveries of the second over, Lankans were unable to recover and were bowled out fo</p>
<p>r less than 100 runs.</p>
<p>Skipper Chamari Atapattu played a lone innings while wickets fell regulary at the other end. Atapattu was the top scorer, hitting 43 runs. The skipper perished in the 15th over after smashing six boundaries during her 48-ball knock.</p>
<p>Anisa Mohammed, who tooked the first two wickets, bowled a decent four-over spell giving away seven runs. Player-of-the-match Hayley Matthews was the pick of the visitors bowlers , taking four for 10 in her four overs.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Opener Stafanie Taylor (59) and Deandra Dottin (51) added a century stand for the second wicket as West Indies Women beat Sri Lanka Women by eight wickets in their second T20 match played at R. Premadasa Stadium yesterday.</p>
<p>Batting first Sri Lanka Women scored 124 -5 in 20 overs. After the first wicket fell cheaply, Chamari Atapattu (27) and Dilani Manodara (30) added 47 for the second wicket in 35 balls, but the home team couldn&#8217;t capitalize and go for a big score thereafter.<br />
Chasing 125 West Indies got there in 18.5 overs with only 2 wickets down.<br />
Third and final T20 match will be played today at the same venue which will be the series decider.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.espncricinfo.com/srilanka/content/player/318853.html">Chamari Atapattu</a>, the Sri Lanka women&#8217;s captain, has been ruled out of the first and second ODIs against West Indies women on May 13 and 15. She injured her right hand during a gym session and required 16 stitches. Vice-captain Eshani Lokusuriyage is likely to take over as captain for the first two ODIs.</p>
<p>Yashoda Mendis, who was kept on stand-by for this series, was drafted into the squad as a replacement for Atapattu. Mendis has scored 457 runs in 23 matches, at an average of 19.86, including three half-centuries.</p>
<p>The last three ODIs of this four-match series will count as part of the ICC Women&#8217;s Championship. The first ODI is scheduled for Wednesday in Colombo.</p>
