Shashikala Siriwardena helps Srilanka win

Former skipper and all rounder Shashikala Siriwardena with an excellent spell of 4/30 and an unbeaten 42 helped Sri Lanka women thrash West Indies by six wickets in the second ODI played at R.Premadasa International Stadium yesterday.

Chasing 124, a fifth-wicket partnership of 40 runs between Shashikala and Yasoda Mendis put the game in favour of Sri Lanka who registered their first victory in this women’s ODI series. So far both teams have won one match each and the third ODI will be played on 18 May at the same venue.
