Opener Stafanie Taylor (59) and Deandra Dottin (51) added a century stand for the second wicket as West Indies Women beat Sri Lanka Women by eight wickets in their second T20 match played at R. Premadasa Stadium yesterday.
Batting first Sri Lanka Women scored 124 -5 in 20 overs. After the first wicket fell cheaply, Chamari Atapattu (27) and Dilani Manodara (30) added 47 for the second wicket in 35 balls, but the home team couldn’t capitalize and go for a big score thereafter.
Chasing 125 West Indies got there in 18.5 overs with only 2 wickets down.
Third and final T20 match will be played today at the same venue which will be the series decider.
