St. Aloysius stun Trinity….

St. Aloysius College, Galle stunned Trinity College, Kandy with a 3-1 on the opening day of the Boys All Island Schools Under-19 Hockey Tournament which began at Edward Park, Matale yesterday.

At lemons the scores were level at one all.

Match winner for St. Aloysius College was their centre forward M.M. Mohamed Manazir who scored two goals. K.U.G.T. Sashika scored the third goal. For the lions W. Sivam scored. In another match D.S. Senanayake College held Sri Sumangala College to a one all draw.

The results of other matches played yesterday were Vijaya College beat Vidyaloka College, Galle 4-0, Nalanda College beat D.S. Senanayake College 2-0, Zahira College, Matale trounced Sri Sumangala College, Panadura 4-0, S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia draw with Maris Stella College 0-0, Royal College, Colombo beat Royal College, Panadura 3-0.
