Valentino Rossi recorded the fastest time in practice

World championship leader Valentino Rossi recorded the fastest time in Friday morning’s practice session ahead of qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix at Assen.

The world championship leader finished ahead of fellow Yamaha rider and world championship rival Jorge Lorenzo as he beat the lap record set by Dani Pedrosa on Thursday.

Rossi is bidding this weekend to win at Assen for the seventh time and break the tie for six victories he currently holds with legendary Italian-compatriot -Giacomo Agostini
