KSC hosts Abu Dhabi Harlequins…………
Kandy Sports Club defending league and knockout champions will host Abu Dhabi Harlequins, Zayed Sports Club. This club was established in 1970, and has won many titles over the years including Premiership, Dubai 7s and Gulf Top 6. They are the current Premiership and Dubai 7’s champions.
The team is expected to be in Sri Lanka in the first week of September, and will play a fifteen a side game against Kandy Sports Club at Nittawela.
Abu Dhabi Harlequins Zayed Sports Club is a Rugby Club in Abu Dhabi. Founded in 1970 it has gone from strength to strength and now boasts a junior section with over 600 members, touch rugby with over 300 participants, three men’s teams, two ladies teams and in the Summer months fields a Rugby League team.
Based in the unrivaled sports facility of Zayed Sports City the club seeks to expand rugby throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and continue its on field success through investment in its coaches and players.
This club has a close association with the successful London Harlequins and is all out to continue to work hard to grow the game within the UAE.
Abu Dhabi Harlequins Zayed Sports Club is a family, community rugby club and nearly half their revenue comes through sponsorship, a fact of which they are very aware and very grateful of to their main sponsors Etihad Airways.
