Lanka Women’s cricket captain loses her father

Sri Lanka Cricket announced yesterday the sad demise of Denzil Siriwardene, beloved father of Sashikala Siriwardene, captain of the Sri Lanka Women’s cricket team.

Denzil Siriwardene passed away after a brief illness on Thursday. His mortal remains lie at No 305, Kuda Buthgamuwa, Angoda and the cremation will take place at 3 pm on May 1 at Kotikawatte Cemetery, Angoda.
