Manchester Utd keeps Leicester waiting for title
OLD TRAFFORD, Sunday: Leicester City’s march towards their first Premier League title was halted by Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Foxes travelled north knowing a win would be enough to complete their remarkable journey from relegation survivors to unlikely champions, but they will have to wait a little longer.
Louis van Gaal’s side, themselves still in the hunt for a top four spot, battled to a 1-all draw in an entertaining encounter.
Anthony Martial gave the hosts the lead before following a brilliant cross from Antonio Valencia.
But skipper Wes Morgan dragged his side level, heading home from a free-kick shortly after.
Leicester will now have to wait for the result of Tottenham’s clash with Chelsea on Monday night to see if they’re crowned champions. If Spurs win at Stamford Bridge, the race will go down to (at least) the penultimate game of the season.
