This is about games in which we celebrate on New Year and what the importance of them. The New Year games can be recognized as indoor and outdoor games. Some of the indoor games are Bello (See Shells) and Kālu (Cashew Nuts).The outdoor games are Havari Hangima”(Hiding the Wig),Chaggudu and Kotta Pora (Pillow-Fighting),Kathuru Onchilla ,Ankeliya, Olinda Keliy, Onchili varam and Eluvan Kema.
The significance of the game is that most participation of the age. Everyone participate to it. Also, all the indoor games were to be played on the floor, if the games were to be played by sitting on chairs, when the outdoor games are played on a village-scale. The day help to people enhance their neighbourhood, unity and eliminate the misunderstandings of the past. The games are more commercialised today. It is involved in TV channels and other organization with business purpose. The effect of their purpose is very strong. But they should distribute those important things of aurudu involved. As the younger generation particularly in urban areas who are not familiar with New Year rituals and game can learn a lot about our culture.
Especially of the game is which end without win or out. Merely they are only focused to pleasure; unity frank, toleration, and power strength .Some of the games are dramatics and musical.
